Grand Canyon Rim to River field notes from 2026-02-20. - Route: Bright Angel down to river camps w/ a South Kaibab exit - Weather: Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. - Trail: Upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them. - Water: Water points were open, but we still carried backup capacity. - Crowds: empty Quick scores: overall=5, difficulty=3, views=4 The boring prep stuff matters.
