Here is what worked (and what did not) on The Wave.
We went Classic out-and-back from Wire Pass before heat builds starting at 5:35 AM wind stayed mild and made exposed sections feel easier. Slickrock footing was solid where it stayed dry.
Gear that worked: Bladder, Sun hoodie.
Offline maps and spare battery removed a lot of stress.
Do your homework first.
