Gear that made the difference on Grand Canyon Rim to River: We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp w/ a next-day climb out starting at 6:25 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day. Gear that worked: Microspikes, Wind shell, Offline maps, Camp shoes. Sun shirt and electrolyte packets carried the second half of the day. Overall 4/5. Difficulty 3/5. Scenery 4/5. Questions welcome.
