Safety considerations for Grand Canyon Rim to River: We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out starting at 4:45 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day. Key considerations: Start earlier than you think. Bottom line: Start earlier than you think. Would do again in a heartbeat.
