Kit breakdown from The Subway: We went Left Fork trailhead to the lower Subway section starting at 5:10 AM. Cool morning air helped us move fast before the canyon warmed up. Route finding was straightforward if we stayed on cairns and creek turns. Gear that worked: Electrolytes, Offline maps. Neoprene socks and poles were the most useful items for this one. The trail rewards the patient.
