Sub-10lb kit on Grand Canyon Rim to River. We went South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area starting at 5:35 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day. Gear that worked: Knife, Wide-brim hat, Gloves. A light puffy was enough for dawn starts on the rim. Overall 4/5. Difficulty 5/5. Scenery 4/5. Short version: Check weather the morning of. Would do again in a heartbeat.
