Animal encounters made Grand Canyon Rim to River special.
We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp w/ a next-day climb out starting at 6:25 AM. Clear skies gave us big temp swings between rim and river. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Wildlife/nature notes: Spotted bighorn sheep on lower sections near the river.
