Sub-10lb kit on Grand Canyon Rim to River. We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out starting at 4:45 AM wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them. Gear that worked: Gloves, Offline maps. A light puffy was enough for dawn starts on the rim. Ratings: 4 overall, 3 difficulty, 5 scenery. The boring prep stuff matters.
