Did Grand Canyon Rim to River alone this time.
We went South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area starting at 6:25 AM. Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. Upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them.
Bottom line: Know the signs of altitude.
Do your homework first.
