Thru-hiker perspective on Grand Canyon Rim to River. We went South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area starting at 6:00 AM. Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them. Days like this are why I hike.
