Sub-10lb kit on Grand Canyon Rim to River.
We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out starting at 6:00 AM. Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Gear that worked: First aid, Sun hoodie, Filter.
A light puffy was enough for dawn starts on the rim.
The kind of day that resets perspective.
