Went minimal on Grand Canyon Rim to River. Here is what made the cut.
We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out starting at 6:50 AM. Clear skies gave us big temperature swings between rim and river. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day.
Gear that worked: Lighter, First aid.
Traction and poles were useful for the first shaded switchbacks.
Overall 4/5. Difficulty 5/5. Scenery 4/5.
Already planning the next one.
