Budget-friendly the subway approach. We went out-and-back through left fork from wildcat canyon side starting at 6:00 am. Wind stayed light, which made the river sections easier to handle. Footing was solid on the dry benches and a little slick near water lines. Tldr: know the bail-out options. Do your homework first. Quick notes: - first aid kit is mandatory. - know the bail-out options. - know the signs of altitude. - tell someone your plan.
