Took the whole family to Grand Canyon Rim to River. We went South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area starting at 6:25 AM. Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day. Ratings: 5 overall, 5 difficulty, 5 scenery. Short version: Be friendly at the trailhead. Preparation is everything. Quick notes: - Be friendly at the trailhead. - Keep music in your ears only. - Move over for faster hikers. - Gaiters for scree. - Sunglasses are not optional.
