Budget-friendly The Subway approach.
We went Left Fork trailhead to the lower Subway section starting at 6:25 AM. Cloud cover held until late morning and kept the slickrock from baking. Route finding was straightforward if we stayed on cairns and creek turns.
Bottom line: Test new gear before the trip.
Plan accordingly.
