Here is the deal with Grand Canyon Rim to River.
We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out starting at 6:50 AM. Clear skies gave us big temperature swings between rim and river. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Bottom line: Slow down on muddy sections.
Days like this are why I hike.
