We had been planning The Subway for months, and it finally happened.
The route was Left Fork approach with a quick weather check at dawn. Cool morning air helped us move fast before the canyon warmed up. Rock steps were stable, with a few muddy pockets by the creek. We had packed company on the trail.
Short version: Bring one extra liter.
