Big Bend Backcountry was my first serious permit and it was amazing. We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 5:10 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. Plan accordingly.
