Big Bend Backcountry w/ the pup. We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 6:25 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Tread was dry and clear w/ a few loose rock corners. TLDR: Backup headlamp batteries. Check conditions before you go.
