There is something about Big Bend in February that just hits different.
We took Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp with by myself. Started around 5:35 AM when wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. The trail route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots. We treated every known source as uncertain and carried extra.
Short version: Do not trust parking to work out.
Still thinking about this one.
