Took the whole family to Big Bend Backcountry. We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 6:50 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners. Short version: Take photos of the permit. Worth every bit of effort.
