Family-friendly notes on Big Bend Backcountry.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:50 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
Would do again in a heartbeat...
