Four-legged companion on Big Bend Backcountry. We went Chisos Basin entry w/ East Rim side mileage starting at 6:25 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. The kind of day that resets perspective.
