Flora notes from Big Bend Backcountry. We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 5:35 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. Wildlife/nature notes: Saw javelina near trailhead and small lizards on warm rock. Ratings: 4 overall, 4 difficulty, 5 scenery. Take what is useful.
