Big Bend Backcountry on limited time.
We went Chisos Basin entry w/ East Rim side mileage starting at 6:00 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Tread was dry and clear w/ a few loose rock corners.
Bottom line: Break in boots at home.
Some trips stay w/ you.
