Big Bend Backcountry was a side trip off the main route.
We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 6:50 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
The boring prep stuff matters.
