Sub-10lb kit on Big Bend Backcountry.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 5:10 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
Gear that worked: Trail runners, Camp shoes, Headlamp, Wind shell.
A simple buff pulled double duty for dust and sun.
Grateful for this one.
