If you are prepping for Big Bend Backcountry, read this first. We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 6:00 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Tread was dry and clear w/ a few loose rock corners. Key considerations: Know where water is. Already planning the next one.
