Late start, late finish. Big bend backcountry in the evening light.
We went dodson and blue creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 6:50 am. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners.
Golden hour delivered.
Tldr: keep music in your ears only.
Days like this are why i hike.
Quick notes:
- keep music in your ears only.
- know where water is.
