Big Bend Backcountry at dusk hits different. We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 5:35 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners. Soft overcast made for even exposure all day. Quick scores: overall=4, difficulty=4, views=5 Days like this are why I hike.
