I have wanted to do Big Bend Backcountry for years.
The route was Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. We had light company on the trail.
Bottom line: Know the signs of altitude.
Would do again in a heartbeat.
