Plant observations along Big Bend Backcountry: We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 5:10 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots. Wildlife/nature notes: Tracks were everywhere, but no close wildlife encounters. Quick scores: overall=4, difficulty=3, views=5 Hope this helps.
