Big Bend Backcountry FKT attempt? Not quite, but moved well.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:25 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
Ratings: 4 overall, 5 difficulty, 5 scenery.
TLDR: Keep snacks accessible.
Grateful for this one.
