6:00 AM start. Big Bend Backcountry. Worth it.
We went Chisos Basin entry w/ East Rim side mileage starting at 6:00 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Tread was dry and clear w/ a few loose rock corners.
Midday light was harsh but the shadows added drama.
