Late start, late finish. Big Bend Backcountry in the evening light.
We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 4:45 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners.
Light was best in the first two hours.
Grateful for this one.
