Local perspective on Big Bend Backcountry. We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:00 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners. Quick scores: overall=4, difficulty=3, views=4 Would do again in a heartbeat.
