Timed it for golden hour on Big Bend Backcountry.
We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 6:25 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
Midday light was harsh but the shadows added drama.
Do your homework first.
