Wildflowers were peaking on Big Bend Backcountry.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 5:10 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners.
Wildlife/nature notes: Bird activity near camp was high around sunrise.
Overall 4/5. Difficulty 4/5. Scenery 4/5.
