Big Bend Backcountry reminded me why I do this. We took Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp with group of 2. Started around 6:50 AM when dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. The trail no major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. Cache strategy helped us keep pack weight under control. Just show up ready.
