Been doing Big Bend Backcountry for years. This time:
We went Chisos Basin entry w/ East Rim side mileage starting at 4:45 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Route stayed obvious, w/ minor wash marks in low spots.
Quick scores: overall=5, difficulty=4, views=4
Bottom line: Carry a small trash bag.
Days like this are why I hike.
