Another Big Bend Backcountry in the books.
We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 4:45 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Route stayed obvious, w/ minor wash marks in low spots.
Bottom line: Backup headlamp batteries.
Preparation is everything.
