Wildflowers were peaking on Big Bend Backcountry. We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:25 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. Wildlife/nature notes: Bird activity near camp was high around sunrise. The kind of day that resets perspective.
