Running Big Bend Backcountry. Here is the beta. We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 5:35 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots. Short version: Do not trust parking to work out. Check conditions before you go. Quick notes: - Do not trust parking to work out. - Download your map before you lose service. - Take photos of the permit. - Have a turnaround time. - Keep music in your ears only.
