Before you commit to Big Bend Backcountry, read this.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:50 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections.
Key considerations: Slow down on muddy sections.
