Big bend backcountry was my first serious permit and it was amazing. We went chisos basin entry with east rim side mileage starting at 6:25 am. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners. Quick scores: overall=5, difficulty=5, views=5 the kind of day that resets perspective.
