So here is the thing about Big Bend Backcountry... We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 6:00 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. No major blowdown, just loose gravel in steep sections. Ratings: 5 overall, 5 difficulty, 5 scenery. Short version: Slow down on muddy sections. Already planning the next one.
