First time doing Big Bend Backcountry and WOW.
We went Dodson and Blue Creek combo with a one-night camp starting at 5:10 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
Just show up ready.
