Fauna notes from Big Bend Backcountry.
We went Chisos Basin entry w/ East Rim side mileage starting at 6:25 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Route stayed obvious, w/ minor wash marks in low spots.
Wildlife/nature notes: Bird activity near camp was high around sunrise.
Do your homework first.
