Late start, late finish. Big Bend Backcountry in the evening light.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:00 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners.
Midday light was harsh but the shadows added drama.
