If you are prepping for Big Bend Backcountry, read this first. We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 5:35 AM. Cool morning temps made long exposed miles feel manageable. Route stayed obvious, w/ minor wash marks in low spots. Key considerations: Take photos of the permit. Still thinking ~ this one.
